Scope of Services
The City of Ontario is seeking proposals for removal and replacement of PCC sidewalk, removal and replacement of PCC curb & gutter, removal and replacement of asphalt concrete, removal and replacement of drive approaches, curb ramps, installation of detectable warning surfaces, type II Emulsion Aggregate Slurry application, thermoplastic striping and marking removal and replacement, weed abatement application, crack sealing, asphalt concrete skin patching, and installation and adjustment of other appurtenances necessary to complete the improvements as described in the Plans and Specifications.
Other Details
It is highly recommended that the bidder begins preparing their bid early to allow sufficient time to ask questions if unfamiliar with this e-procurement system.
The bidder must attach a pdf file to the electronic bid submission containing all the completed and signed Bid Documents including a Bid Bond. Bidder must comply with SB854 - Public Works Contractor Registration Program. Bidder may begin bid process at any time prior to the bid deadline. Information entered is viewable only to bidder and may be saved, changed, or withdrawn up until the deadline. Upon selection and notification of award, contractor will be required to submit a Payment Bond and a Performance Bond each for 100% of the total bid amount. Please note: Insurance limits are non-negotiable, and awardee will need to provide certification as specified in Bid Documents.

The bidder is solely responsible for "on time" submission of their electronic bid. The City will only consider bids that have been transmitted successfully and have been issued an e-bid confirmation number with a time stamp from the Bid Management System indicating that bid was submitted successfully. Transmission of bids by any other means will not be accepted. Bidder shall be solely responsible for informing itself with respect to the proper utilization of the bid management system, for ensuring the capability of their computer system to upload the required documents, and for the stability of their internet service. Failure of the bidder to successfully submit an electronic bid shall be at the bidder's sole risk and no relief will be given for late and/or improperly submitted bids. Questions of an operational nature may be directed to the City's Purchasing office at (909) 395-2012. Neither the City nor PlanetBids makes any guarantee as to the timely availability of assistance, or assurance that any given problem will be resolved by the bid submission deadline. Any bidder wishing to submit cash, cashier's check or certified check in lieu of a Bid Bond must submit in a sealed envelope and submitted directly to the City Clerks/Records Management Office at 303 East B Street, Ontario, CA 91764 before or on 1/29/2026 at 11:00 am.
