The current name for the GSA Schedule program — a federal contracting vehicle that pre-approves vendors and pricing across many categories of products and services.
Definition
Multiple Award Schedules (MAS) is the formal name (since 2020) for what was historically called the GSA Schedule program. MAS consolidated 24 separate GSA Schedules into one contract with many Special Item Numbers (SINs) that group similar offerings. Vendors apply for the SINs that fit their business.
When it applies
Federal vendors selling commercial products or services to multiple agencies. MAS terms include pricing, ordering procedures, scope, and compliance requirements. Holds for 5 years base with three 5-year options.
