NOTICE OF INTENDED SINGLE SOURCE PURCHASE THE STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION DISTRICT SIX CONTRACTS OFFICE ADVERTISEMENT DATE: August 6th, 2026 Project & Proposal No.: DOT-SS-27-6002IZ Counties: Miami-Dade Location: District 6 Adam Leigh Cann Building 1000 NW 111TH Avenue Miami, Florida 33172 Email: [email protected] Intended Source: Vac-Con/Southern Sewer Equipment Sales The North Dade Maintenance section is requesting approval for the replacement and installation of a debris tank and repair of the vacuum relief system on a 2018 Vac-Con Vactor truck at a total cost of $92,155.00. This Vactor truck is essential to North Dade’s daily maintenance operations and is routinely used to remove sediment and debris from drainage structures along the state roadway system. The unit plays a critical role in maintaining drainage capacity in flood-prone and low-lying areas, including Miami Beach, where keeping stormwater systems clear is vital to preventing roadway flooding during heavy rain events. Without a fully operational Vactor unit, the department’s ability to maintain drainage infrastructure and respond to restricted drains would be significantly impacted.
