The LOSSAN rail corridor serves Metrolink commuter trains (operated by SCRRA), Amtrak intercity trains, and BNSF Railway freight trains and is identified as the second most heavily traveled intercity passenger rail corridor in the nation. The proposed project includes replacement and/or rehabilitation of ties, rail, ballast, turnouts, and other track material (OTM). The Construction Work may include the following categories: earthwork, track work, traffic control planning and coordination, and coordination with the City, third party contractors, SCRRA signal and communications contractor, SCRRA and SCRRA contracted employees.
